The centrepiece of BOZAR s Mexico Festival in 2010 is the exhibition "Imágenes del Mexicano", presenting a series of 150 portraits which illustrate Mexico s historical and cultural development. The multidisciplinary exhibition includes paintings and photographs by both Mexican and foreign artists.
The exhibition features paintings by Rivera and Kahlo, photographs by Modotti, and even films by Eisenstein. Together, the exhibits document the period of Mexico s history from the colonial period right up to the present day.
